The Isle of Wight is an ideal place for any kind of sport that is carried out on water. As the island had and still provides all the necessary conditions for water sports many sportsmen and enthusiasts are flocking to the Isle to practice their favorite activities and test their strength in various competitions. Hundreds of thrill seekers such as kite surfers, wind surfers and even land yachters straining to the limit show their intrepidity and professionalism. "White Air Festival" held at the end of August is a super extreme sporting event that involves many mountain boarders, paramotor enthusiasts, racers and other competitors who are eager to take part in very venturesome activities.
Admiring such daredevils you might think, and here you are wrong, that these "crazy" activities are only for young people whose bodies are covered with various tattoos and they have fancifully designed hair. It can sound very implausible but the fact of the matter is that the participants, willing to win, are from every age group and ability enjoy these very much and do it in the first place to have fun in this exciting and community atmosphere on the IOW. Between the competitions you can recreate yourselves a grassy hilltop studded with many tents where you can have a bite and listen to live bands or tune spinning DJs.
