The process involves approaching women in public (at the mall, at the beach, walking down the street, etc.) and inquiring about their interest in modeling nude. Depending on your individual personality, this may sound exciting and fun or it may sound like the hardest and most difficult thing in the world. However, even if you feel a bit apprehensive, there are good reasons why you might want to give this method a try.
In my ebook, MONEY SHOTS!, I provide the reader with a wide variety of simple and specific techniques to use when approaching potential models in public (the book is available at http://moneyshotsbook.com/).
When you advertise for models, you will generally get calls from women who have already given at least some thought to the possibility of modeling. This also applies when you search for models through agencies or talent websites. What all these women will have in common is, at the very least, they have given some thought to modeling nude.
But what about all the other women out there in the world? What about the huge percentage who have never even thought about the possibility? Without question, there are many women who have said to themselves, “Modeling nude might be fun and sexy, but I don’t know the first t
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not implying that every woman you see on the street has a secret desire to be a model. However, there are millions (and millions) of women around the world who would be intrigued by the idea of modeling nude if the opportunity were to directly present itself.
For photographers looking to make money from their work, images of these types of women can be very lucrative. The reason for this is simple: Publications and websites that are in the market for nude photography are constantly looking for new faces. These outlets prefer not to repeatedly feature the same models.
The market has a hunger for models who haven’t been seen before (or have been seen very little). Consequently, if you can find women who have never modeled before, you will be in a significantly better position when it comes to selling your work.
In fact, this is a major reason why you don't have to live in a big city to be successful in the erotic photography business. Simply because a particular area may not have modeling agencies that specialize in adult talent doesn’t mean that there aren’t many potential models to work with. Granted, you may have to look a little harder for them. However, when you do find a new model, chances are good that her pictures will be worth more than those of a model who has already been repeatedly seen.
I hope I’ve been able to convince you to give this particular model-finding method a try. In a later article I'll be discussing specific techniques you can use to make the process of approaching women in public as simple, comfortable, and productive as possible.
Believe me, it's not as difficult as it may seem.
